PENGARUH PROGRAM CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PT PERTAMINA (PERSERO) REGIONAL 1 TERHADAP PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT DI KECAMATAN MEDAN TIMUR

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Pertamina (Persero) Regional 1 on community income in Medan Timur District. This research is motivated by the important role of companies in supporting community welfare through economic, social, and environmental empowerment programs. The implementation of CSR is expected not only to provide social benefits but also to improve the economic capacity and income of the community. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of the residents of Medan Timur District, while the sample comprised 100 respondents selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R²) using SPSS version 26. The results showed that the CSR program had a positive and significant effect on community income in Medan Timur District. This is indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.652, a t-value of 12.178, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.984, and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.602 indicates that the CSR program explains 60.2% of the variation in community income, while the remaining 39.8% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that better implementation of the CSR program by PT Pertamina (Persero) Regional 1 is associated with higher community income in Medan Timur District.
